First of all, thank you for all of you who e-mailed and wished us well while we were busy in our personal lives and away from hochuu. We're happy to come back to you this Christmas and release some more of our favorite reads. Cuddle up with some cocoa and enjoy!

We're 4!!

Hochuuami is proud to have its 4th anniversary today. This was a particularly momentous one, since all 3 group heads had a difficult and trying year. We send love to each for their contributions. We also say thanks to the others who have shaped hochuuami. We'll keep releasing for a few days, so it's possible your favorite will show up.

sans - You were one of the first members of hochuuami, and it wouldn't be here without you. You get off a stressful job and spend time with your beautiful horse and still dedicate yourself to us. You pour your money into buying multiple copies of manga and magazines for us, then destroy those copies just to scan them for us without ever asking for anything in return. What has it been? 30 volumes thus far? Hochuuami would be much the poorer without you. We're always greatful!

ko - Any series you read from us, she probably translates. Not only has ko graduated with her Doctorate this year(!!!), she's also traveled to 7 countries in this year lone. She got off her translating job in real life and came home to work on 2 volumes for us just a week before she went out of the country. She's one-of-a-kind and that's how we like it.

kitten - A year that was fraught with crippling neurological pain, misdiagnosis, hospitals, MRIs, numerous doctors, bad side effects and the final nail of a permanent pain. The stress 2 moves and heading overseas -- all this and you've still managed to keep hochuu going. You are made of some impressively resilient stuff, woman.

chrissy - hochuuami's 2nd member and she still qcs like an angel for us!

stella - Makes us all run together and keeps kitten's scatterbrain intact.

hohoemi - Stepping into edit anything and doing a splendid job on Koi Cha.

starchanchan - Taking over running Dragonfly for kitten, and jumping in to help with Love Life.

pearl - Shitsuren and others wouldn't be the same without your talents.

jewel - The jewel that keeps Yononaka going.

Concerning Koukyuu no Arika: We regret that our release of Arika came a mere week after they announced that another group had announced that they would be doing the title, but by then our team for it had already been assembled and were well on their way to completing the volume. We're glad to see that they appreciate Sakura's work as much as we do and are putting forth effort to spread the love of a talented doujinshika turned mangaka. We hope either release leads you to purchase and enjoy this sweet title.

Yes Koi Cha no Osahou has been officially licensed. Even in Blu's forums the editors are discussing their joy of licensing it.

As we've stated before we DO NOT scanlate english licensed series. Our goal is to get people to buy a manga. We hope we've done enough to make you enjoy the series to go out and buy Koi Cha in Japanese or English and support the mangaka and the expansion of licensing in ENGLISH!

Another note -- we're doing a haitus on foriegn language scans. We do not enjoy recieving 3 e-mails a week without the requested items (most competent english speaker, your groups url, your promise of leaving our credits in, your books you would enjoy retranslating and which scans you will use). For us happiness is finishing a series. We're excited to say goodbye to Denkou Sekka Boys. The sequel, Chouhatsu Denkou Sekka Boys, is licensed and is out by Kitty Media entitled "Thunderbolt Boys: Excite". We also share a sad rumor that Asami Toujou has retired from being a mangaka, so that's possibly her last work. We're extremely pleased to bring out two of our favorite mangaka for great and gorgeous stories. First, the long-awaited return of Gokujou no Koibito in all its gorgeous tankubon glory. Yoshimi, Kuniyoshi and sexy sexy sexy Akito are back and we're really glad this story has reached 2 books and is continuing! We appreciate those of you who got addicted to this story and waited with us as we too were stuck waiting for Aqua to put out these books (why they had to wait to put out volume one and volume two out together is anyone's guess).

If you enjoyed the story by Sakura Sakuya work Hisho Ikuseichuu we hope you also enjoy her new book release of Koukyuu no Arika (A Permanent Place). We've been looking forward to this book since we heard it was coming out last month. While Hisho Ikuseichuu was smutty and comedic fun, Koukyuu no Arika is a gentle story about Yuu a dog trainer and handler and Masaki the dogs' owners. Masaki's large vacation mansion houses the Great Danes that Yuu looks over and Masaki can't help straying glances at Yuu. Only time will tell if Yuu returns them. This ends the new works introduced by hochuuami that we've been doing lately, we hope you enjoy the new additions!

A mexican restaraunt, multigrain rice, and one very stubborn Akira make for a great chapter two of Renai Shinan (Love is Difficult!)! Sadly this was in the June issue so we're stuck waiting for the new chapter to come out along with the readers. Thanks to Lisa, we've updated our downloads page and replaced some dead links, there's also more downloads for older works.

This series is an instant favorite among all the hochuustaff. After doing illustrations for novels and boys love games (Silver Chaos), we expected anything Takatsuki Noboru put out would be gorgeous, but we never realized how funny she could be, too! Renai Shinan (Love is Difficult!) focuses on hard-working health nut Honjou as he asks his ladies' man coworker, Hatano, to help him work on romance. Hatano never realized that under the dorky exterior, Honjou would be a complete hottie... if still a bit of a dork ;)

Also, thanks to Okami, we've found out the Hisho Ikuseichuu story we enjoy is a series, so we're excited about upcoming chapters of that one work!

Getting older makes manga appear

It never gets old talking about how much I love and treasure the ladies at hochuuami, and you should too! To celebrate me getting old (-_-;) they've put together a pleathora of reads. First, Masara Minase love appears with Hidoi Otoko c03 - Kawai Otoko and Hidoi Otoko c04 - Itsumo Yasashii the followup side-story. We also have a new twisted chapter of Unbalanced Heat, gorgeous drama as always!

Also, my favorite doujinshi artist has made the switch to manga and we're excited to bring one of her first works. Sakura Sakuya has drawn a story we're not sure is a oneshot or the beginning of a story since Drap doesn't state it, Hisho Ikuseichuu, that is smutty and fun.

Also we're putting out the whole story of two teachers in love by Takazawa Taeko (Renai Plus Alpha mangaka), Yappari Kimi wo Suki ni Naru's main story is out in its entirety. Another new story out is by Asou Kai and Studio May-be, Square na Kankei, is based on a boy's love game and has me aching to read chapter 2.
